Due to elevated fire danger, the City of Phoenix has implemented Stage 1 Fire Restrictions. All consumer fireworks are prohibited within one mile of mountain preserves, desert parks, regional parks, conservation areas, national forests, and wilderness areas.
Nominations Now Open for Disability Awards and Recognition Event
The Equal Opportunity Department and the Mayor’s Commission on Disability Issues (MCDI) are calling for nominations for the annual Disability Awards and Recognition Event (D.A.R.E).
The award ceremony honors exceptional individuals, organizations, and businesses that have exemplified the lives of individuals with disabilities. D.A.R.E recognizes those who have made a commitment to improving the quality of life for all residents and communities of Phoenix.

- Business Award
- Community Service Award
- Outstanding Educator Award
- Det. Olsen Lifetime Achievement Award
