Floodplain Management - Labor_Compliance

The Labor Compliance Section is responsible for ensuring that contractors adhere to federal labor standards, specifically the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts. The section oversees compliance on federally assisted capital improvement projects and enforces these regulations through several methods, including site investigations, employee interviews, and audits of contractor payroll and business records. When necessary, the section may also withhold contractor payments to ensure workers receive the prevailing wage for the work performed. The team consists of one Labor Compliance Supervisor and two Labor Compliance Specialists.
