Mayor Greg Stanton today announced the members of his staff. This team will help the Mayor advance his policy agenda of diversifying our region’s economy, making our neighborhoods safer, injecting renewed sustainability into city operations, enhancing transparency and ethics throughout city government, and other important policy issues.

“I am proud to bring together such a talented and diverse team of professionals to serve the City of Phoenix through my office,” said Mayor Stanton. “I am just overwhelmed by the hundreds of people who expressed an interest in joining our staff. There is a true all-star team of talented people who weren’t selected, and I am grateful to them. Their passion and commitment to this community will still be needed as we move forward.”

Joining Mayor Stanton’s office are:

• Paul Blue, Chief of Staff.  Paul Blue most recently served as Community and Economic Development Director for the City of Phoenix and spent nearly 10 years at Phoenix Sky Harbor as the Assistant Aviation Director.  He has worked for the City of Phoenix since 1989.
• Kelly Dalton, Deputy Chief of Staff.  Kelly Dalton previously served as Senior Policy Advisor to Mayor Phil Gordon handling federal and sustainability issues.  Prior to that, Kelly served as then-Councilman Stanton's Chief of Staff.  
• Ruben Alonzo, Deputy Chief of Staff.  Ruben Alonzo previously served as a Senior Policy Advisor and Legislative Liaison to Attorney General Terry Goddard in the Arizona Attorney's General's Office and most recently managed Mayor Stanton's successful mayoral campaign.
• Adora Lewis, Special Advisor to the Mayor.  Adora Lewis has extensive experience in city government, working for Phoenix since 1989.  She started her tenure working as an aide to former City Councilman Calvin Goode, and held a number of roles in the City Manager’s Office.  Most recently, she has spent the last three and a half years serving as Chief of Staff to Councilman Michael Johnson.
• Mel Hannah, Community Outreach Director and Policy Advisor.  Mel Hannah has previously served on the Flagstaff City Council and Coconino County Board of Supervisors. He has worked on a variety of governmental, private, and community endeavors on behalf of Hannah and Associates.
• Brendan Mahoney, Senior Policy Advisor.  Brendan Mahoney has been an attorney for 20 years and has served the community on a number of boards including Equality Arizona. He also founded the Arizona State Bar Committee on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity, the first of its kind in the United States.
• Bethany Samaddar, Senior Policy Advisor.  Bethany Samaddar previously served as a Special Assistant to Attorney General Terry Goddard and then as Assistant Director for Housing Opportunity Center. She formerly served as a senior assistant for Mayor Stanton during his tenure on the Phoenix City Council.  
• Jeff Stapleton, Senior Policy Advisor.  Jeff Stapleton was previously the Arizona Democratic Party’s Research Director and is an accomplished MPP graduate of Arizona State University’s School of Public Affairs where he focused on a host of public-sector issues including budgeting and transportation.
• Sasha Perez, Mayor’s Scheduler.  Sasha Perez previously served as scheduler to former Mayor Phil Gordon and District 8 Councilman Michael Johnson.  
• Stacey O’Neil, Mayor’s Secretary.  Stacey O’Neil has extensive experience as administrative coordinator to a large benefits consulting firm.
