New Restrictions
CAVE CREEK ROAD - DEER VALLEY TO UTOPIA ROADSCave Creek Road is scheduled to be restricted beginning Monday, October 6 for a reconstruction and widening project.
Cave Creek Road will be reduced to two lanes (one each way) from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Left turn lanes will be allowed at signalized intersections.
Police officers will be on-site to assist with traffic control.
Various restrictions will occur throughout the course of this major project. Updates will be forthcoming as the work progresses.
Project completion is scheduled for Spring 2009.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution when driving through this area.
JEFFERSON STREET - CENTRAL TO FIRST AVENUES
Jefferson Street is scheduled to be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, October 3 through 6 a.m. Sunday, October 5 to set a large crane in conjunction with the Cityscape project.
During this work, Jefferson Street through traffic will be detoured at First Avenue to Madison Street.
Business access will be maintained.
Police officers will be on-site to assist with traffic control.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution when driving through this area.

Special Events
AIDS WALK - SUNDAY, October 5 AT 8:30 A.M.This walk will start at Third Avenue and Washington Street and finish at Second Avenue and Jefferson Street.
The following streets will be closed from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 5:
Jefferson Street - 1st to 19th avenues
Washington Street - 1st to 17th avenues
3rd Avenue - Jefferson to Washington streets
Police officers will be on-site to assist with traffic control.
All streets will be open to normal traffic by 11 a.m.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution when driving through this area.
RAINBOW FESTIVAL - October 4-5, 10 A.M. to 6 P.M.
Monroe Street will be closed from Fifth to Seventh streets starting at 9 a.m. Friday, October 3 to stage this event.
Monroe Street will be open to normal traffic by 6 a.m. Monday, October 6.
Access to parking facilities will be maintained.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution when driving through this area.

FIRST STREET - FILLMORE TO VAN BUREN STREETSFirst Street is now open to normal traffic after completion of utility work.
99TH AVENUE - INDIAN SCHOOL TO MCDOWELL ROADS
99TH Avenue is now open to normal traffic after completion of a sewer manhole rehabilitation project.
