The Property Management Bureau is located at 100 East Elwood Street . This is east of Central and ½ mile north of Broadway Road in South Mountain Village . It is a two-story, gray warehouse. Pull into the third driveway (on the left) which is marked “Citizens entrance.”

Our hours are as follows:

Monday through Friday: 7 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except for Wednesdays close at noon . We are closed on weekends and the following holidays in 2008: January 1 & 21; February 18; March 31; May 26; July 4; September 1; November 11, 27&28; and December 25.

Identification must be presented to pick up any piece of property. Acceptable forms of identification are:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Passport
  • Booking slip
  • Government issued i.d.

If your vehicle has been made available for release by the case detective, you must schedule an appointment at (602) 534-2810. Your vehicle cannot be “viewed” prior to release. This would require you to make an appointment with the case detective.

If you wish to send us an email to get your questions answered, you may do so at pmbcitizenrequest.ppd@phoenix.gov. Any personal information submitted will be solely used for the purposes of answering your question and will not be shared with any third party.

Please note, if the computer system is down, we will not be able to release items impounded as evidence. Please monitor the website for notices that the system is inoperable.

If you are picking up property on behalf of a friend or relative, you must present a notarized letter from them giving you permission to do so along with your identification.

The Property Management Bureau can ship your belongings to you. To do so, you must send us a notarized request stating you will accept C.O.D. charges.

If you are picking up a firearm, you must show proof of ownership such as a notarized bill of sale from the seller along with your identification. Please be advised, a background check will be performed and this could take up to 45 minutes.
