Description The Gila River Indian Community (GRIC) makes grants to nonprofit agencies through cities, towns and county sponsorship. The tribe requires the signature of the mayor on the application and a city ordinance sponsoring the application. The city will submit select proposals on behalf of nonprofit agencies in addition to city proposals on an annual basis. Nonprofits wishing to be considered for city sponsorship should submit a Letter of Interest, outlining the project, the amount requested and the benefits to the citizens of Phoenix, and a letter from a city department director advocating for the sponsorship of the project as government services for the general public by the deadline stated below. Please do not solicit letters from city of Phoenix elected officials.
