Why "Bag and Tie"? The bagging of garbage and grass is a requirement from Maricopa County to keep control of insects, rodents or other "vectors" that can transmit diseases. For example, the common housefly can reproduce in a matter of days and especially likes unbagged grass to lay its eggs. Bagging also keeps control of odors as well as keeping the inside of your garbage container clean. Keep A Lid On It!
